Warped AdS3 black holes in new massive gravity
We investigate stationary, rotationally symmetric solutions of a recently proposed three-dimensional theory of massive gravity. Along with BTZ black holes, we also obtain warped AdS3 black holes, and (for a critical value of the cosmological constant) AdS2 × S as solutions. The entropy, mass and angular momentum of these black holes are computed. ∗Email: [email protected]
متن کاملWarped AdS3 Black Holes
Three dimensional topologically massive gravity (TMG) with a negative cosmological constant −l−2 and positive Newton constant G admits an AdS3 vacuum solution for any value of the graviton mass μ. These are all known to be perturbatively unstable except at the recently explored chiral point μl = 1. However we show herein that for every value of μl 6= 3 there are two other (potentially stable) v...
متن کاملTopological Black Holes in Weyl Conformal Gravity
We present a class of exact solutions of Weyl conformal gravity, which have an interpretation as topological black holes. Solutions with negative, zero or positive scalar curvature at infinity are found, the former generalizing the wellknown topological black holes in anti-de Sitter gravity. The rather delicate question of thermodynamic properties of such objects in Weyl conformal gravity is di...
متن کاملStability of warped AdS3 vacua of topologically massive gravity
AdS3 vacua of topologically massive gravity (TMG) have been shown to be perturbatively unstable for all values of the coupling constant except the chiral point μl = 1. We study the possibility that the warped vacua of TMG, which exist for all values of μ, are stable under linearized perturbations. In this paper, we show that spacelike warped AdS3 vacua with Compère-Detournay boundary conditions...
